Untad Allocates Total 8.705 Seats for the New Student Registration 2019 

Tadulako University (Untad) accepts new student enrollment in 2019. It has been directly confirmed by Untad representative for Insititute of Higher Education Entrance Test (LTMPT) on Tuesday (02/12/2019) in CeF-InAP room, 3rd floor of Rectorate building. In that moment, Prof. Dr. Sutarman Yodo, S.H., M.H., as the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and the Committee Chairman explained technically there are significant changes on new student selection, specifically in Joint Entrance Selection of State Universities (SBMPTN) path. “This year, all examination forms in SBMPTN will be computer based test (CBT). In past years, the applicants used to be allowed to select any study programs or departments when they would like to register, but currently, they must take a test before choosing any favorite universities or departments. Now, the candidates are also permitted to have maximum two chances of test with particular restrictions as follows one test for natural sciences and technology (SainTek) departments and one test for social and human sciences (SosHum) departments or two tests for SainTek departments or two tests for SosHum departments. Besides, the participants who have been passed on National Selection for State University (SNMPTN) are not eligible to enroll on SBMPTN path,” said Prof. Sutarman. Accompanying by the Committee Secretary, Rudy Gosal, S.E., M.Si., Dr. Darsikin M.Si., he added that all SBMPTN procedures have been authorized to Untad representatives for LTMPT as referenced in Ministerial Decree of Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia. Dr. Darsikin also clarified that total quota available are 8.705 seats consisting of 20% or 1.829 new students will be accepted through SNMPTN path, 40% or 4.265 new students will be accepted through SBMPTN path, and 30% or 2.611 new students will be accepted through Independent Selection Test (SMMPTN) path. The next speaker, Rudy Gosal, S.E., M.Si., as the Committee Secretary described that technically, to apply computer based test, Untad will provide about 900 computers which are available in this university and collaborated with several senior high schools such as SMAN 1 Palu, SMA Madani, SMKN 1 Palu, SMKN 2 Palu, SMKN 3 Palu, and SMK BK Palu. The registration for first phase will be started on March 1st-24th, 2019 while the second phase will be started on March 25th to April 1st, 2019. Moreover, the examination for first phase will be held on April 13th to May 4th, 2019 and the second phase will be held on May 11th-26th, 2019. The subjects of the test include Scholastic Aptitude Test and Academic Potential Test. The result of the test will be announced 10 days after the test day. After receiving the examination result, the student candidate should register in a specific university and study program based on available quota and passing grade which the university requires. The follow-up registration will be opened on June 10th-24th and the announcement will be informed on July 9th, 2019.
