&lt;/script&gt;</html><description>Doctoral Program Postgraduate Program of Tadulako University has 4 (four) doctoral programs consisting of: Agricultural Science Economics Science Education Social Science &nbsp; Doctoral Program of Agricultural Science Doctoral Program of Agricultural Science of Tadulako University was established based on four considerations: (1) fact that in Tadulako University, the availability of human resources and supporting facilities has been adequate to form a doctoral program of agricultural science, thus, this study program was realized in order to achieve optimum efficiency of existing assets; (2) aspiration to implement a mandate letter from Directorate General of Higher Education No. E 483/E/T/2011 concerning the opening of doctoral program of agricultural science in Tadulako University; (3) the mission of the institution to actively involve in technology development specifically in agriculture and produce more professional alumni in national level; (4) market demand on human resources with doctoral degree, particularly in agricultural science, to work either in education, bureaucracy, or private sector. &nbsp; Vision Be excellent in the development of agricultural science with local potentials-oriented and mind on global environment in order to result doctor candidates who capable to develop and or invent new concept of science and technology in agriculture. &nbsp; Mission Resulting doctoral degree alumni in agriculture who possess competency in conducting research, developing concept/theory, and solving agriculture issues through interdisciplinary approach. Producing inventions in technology to take advantage of natural resources in a sustainable way. Providing communication and publication in the form of scientific journals resulted from research and community services. &nbsp; Objective Doctoral Program of Agricultural Science of Tadulako University has three main objectives as follows: (1) creating conducive learning atmospheres to support independent learning process; (2) organizing and implementing independent research and communicating the result of the research in the form of scientific publication; (3) Working in collaboration with any parties like private sectors, institutions, and etc. in order to empower the human resources and facilities in Untad. &nbsp; Competence The alumni of Doctoral Program of Agricultural Science are expected to have several competences. Main competence consists of: (1) capability in leading, organizing, conducting research and discovering new concepts related to problem-solving of agriculture and environment issues; (2) capability in developing science and technology concerning plant and animal management, either creating or assembling new genetic variation, to boost the productivity and land resources potential; (3) capability in analyzing and formulating policy regarding agriculture economy and or agriculture in general. Supporting competence consists of: (1) capability in applying interdisciplinary approach in order to work in certain specialties; (2) capability in disseminating the result of the research in a scientific forum; (3) capability in writing a scientific paper and publicizing it in an accredited journal. The other competence includes in: (1) capability in utilizing information technology; and (2) capability in considering and caring about environment and society. Curriculum and Credit Requirements The doctoral program belongs to academic activities which has been scheduled consisting of education of compulsory competence of study program, compulsory competence of concentration, optional competence of concentration, and independent activity (writing dissertation). Education of compulsory competence of study program, compulsory competence of concentration, optional competence of concentration include in-class learning, laboratory work, field work, and academic interactions. Meanwhile, independent activity comprises conducting research to solve problems elaborated in a dissertation or the other scientific papers. Credits required in a doctoral program curriculum are between 42 up to 50.
