The Regent Urges the Alumni of Senior High School in Morowali and North Morowali to Apply to University through Achievement Path

After socializing University Student Recruitment through Achievement Path 2021 in a representative senior high school in North Morowali on last Monday (12/06), the socialization agenda was also continued in a representative senior high school in Morowali on Tuesday (12/07) afternoon. Taking place at the Hall of Morowali Regent Office, the socialization was attended by Drs. Taslim as the Regent of Morowali, Dr. Vitayanti Fattah, S.E., M.Si., as the Coordinator for Student Activity Development and Cultivation Center of Tadulako University (Untad), Haliadi  Sadi, S.S., Ph.D., as the Secretary of Student Activity Development and Cultivation Center, H. Arifudin, S.Pd., M.Si., as the Coordinator for Student Affairs, and Dr. N. P. Evvy Rossanty, S.E., M.M., as the 2nd Vice Director of Untad Off-Campus Study Program.

In his speech, Dr. Ir. Sagaf Djalalembah, M.P., as the Vice Rector for Student Affairs hopes the youths from Morowali and North Morowali can join university student recruitment through achievement path 2021.

“Now we have Off-Campus Study Program in Morowali and we believe this regency has great potential thus it is significant to prepare their next generation to enroll in a university. Untad belongs to the state university in Central Sulawesi. Many students outside Sulawesi and even coming from abroad have been registered in Untad. For this reason, the outstanding youths from Morowali are more than eligible to get the space in Untad through achievement path. For those who are economically disadvantaged, we allow tuition dispensation as what have been received by 3,000 students during pandemic. Therefore, we expect many senior high school alumni from Morowali will take the chance to apply at Untad through achievement path,” said Dr. Sagaf.

At the same moment, Drs. Taslim as the Regent of Morowali supports fully all senior high school alumni from Morowali and North Morowali to have more capacity improvement by continuing their undergraduate study in Untad through achievement path.

“We are truly grateful that Untad has offered chance for our youths to continue their study in Untad via achievement path. Concerning on job opportunities in Morowali, currently PT. IMIP still accepts senior high school alumni, but who knows, in the future, they will only recruit those with bachelor degree. Thus, I recommend you to remain studying in higher education instead of directly applying for a job in order to have more competitive quality. Morowali owns a number of great natural resources. To manage it, definitely we need more competent human resources as well,” said Drs. Taslim.
