To end the serial Training of Trainer prepared for welcoming new students (Introducing Campus Life to New Students 2021), Student Affairs Unit of Tadulako University organized ToT for the lecturers who were selected as the speakers of upcoming event. The ToT held for two days, Saturday to Sunday, July 7th-8th, 2021 in Swiss Belhotel Palu. There were 295 lecturers attended this training either via offline or online.
Dr. Ir. Sagaf MP as the vice rector for student affairs stated to plan an online event joined by 8000 new students was not easy. Therefore, as the organizer, they need to think and plan the strategy independently in order to have a successful presentation – easy for all students to understand.
“It was huge responsibilities, we have planned this event earlier, now we are doing trial run. The strategy we will apply is same as last year, dividing the new students into 10 clusters. One cluster consists of 5 classes and each class contains 200 students, adjusting to the maximum number of zoom participants. Each class will be handled by a host and co-host.
The vice rector for student affairs affirmed that keeping up the academic enthusiasm is necessary despite high pressure of pandemic era. As a frontline in education sector, Tadulako Univeristy must be able to respond the changes especially in learning system which requires update knowledge of information technology.
