Along with Regional Police of Central Sulawesi and Presidential Special Staff, Untad Organized Independent Vaccination for University Students in Palu

Tadulako University with Regional Police of Central Sulawesi, University Student Alliance based in Palu, Student Executive Board of Tadulako University, and Presidential Special Staff for Institution, Youth, Student, and Islamic Boarding Community, Aminuddin Ma’ruf, had organized independent vaccination for 1.000 university students on Monday (09/13/2021). The agenda was conducted in three different places, new Hall of Medicine Faculty (1st location), old Hall of Medicine Faculty (2nd location), and the Hall of Social and Political Science Faculty (3rd location).

Prof. Dr. Ir. Mahfudz, M.P., as the rector, in his visit, when inspecting the vaccination processes, confirmed that Regional Police of Central Sulawesi had also engaged Tadulako University a few months ago in 1 million covid-19 vaccine doses program for Central Sulawesi province to celebrate 75th Anniversary of Bhayangkara.

“Our total students are about 40,000 coming from inside and outside Central Sulawesi. Definitely, face-to-face learning will be very risky in transmitting Covid-19. Thus, we support this vaccination program and we are optimistic herd immunity will soon be reached. We would also thank Aminuddin Ma’ruf for his visit to Tadulako University representing the attention of Indonesian Government to us,” the rector said.

In addition, Aminuddin Ma’ruf as the Presidential Special Staff appreciated Tadulako University and all partners who has successfully organized the vaccination program to support the mission of Indonesian Government, stopping the spread of Covid-19 through vaccination.

Alhamdulillah, praise to the God, the event we held today belongs to simultaneous nationwide vaccination campaign in Indonesia. Indeed, implementing this program is one of the possibly attempts we could do to end the spread of Covid-19 and achieve herd immunity. After getting vaccinated, still, we should adhere to health protocols. By participating in vaccination program, we are trying to prevent the pandemic from becoming endemic. In this opportunity, I would also say thanks to the rector of Tadulako University, Indonesian National Police, Indonesian National Armed Forces, and all partners who have successfully organized this event. Hopefully, face-to-face learning will be arranged soon after all the students get vaccinated,” said the Presidential Special Staff.
