The seminar brought up the theme about \u201c<em>Preparing Health Professionals for Environmental Consequences to Human Health Impacts of the Massive Increase of Mining Industry<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In his speech, Dr. dr. Muh. Ardi Munir, M.Kes., Sp. OT., FICS, MH as Dean of Medicine Faculty said the massive potential mining industry in Central Sulawesi has become the main point to consider preparing health professionals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c The rapid increase of the mining industry around the globe and Indonesia, in particular, cannot be denied due to the increase in population. The exploitation of natural resources is essential for human existence to produce any materials for a living. The seminar aims to prepare health professionals for future environmental consequences and adverse health impacts of the massive increase of mining.\u201d Said dr. Therefore, the Medicine Faculty need to observe and prepare to encounter any potential impacts around the area. Hopefully this seminar will get the best solution for the environment, nature and communities near to mining areas. Collaboration between the speakers from international campuses and professionals from Untad hopefully could give a positive impact for life.
